Consent to the autopsy by a legal proxy

·         Known Achilles tendon rupture

·         Tumour affecting the Achilles Tendon

·         Rheumatoid/vasculitic disorder spectrum (Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, Psoriasis), Endocrine Diseases (e.g. gout)

·         Other manifestations indicating a change in tissue quality of the Achilles tendon (e.g. local infection or inflammation, skin lesion)

·         Acute joint infection or previous joint infection of the upper ankle joint.
